US defense chief Austin hospitalised, hands duties to deputy US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who is fighting prostate cancer, has transferred his duties to his deputy Kathleen Hicks, hours after he was taken to hospital for an "emergent bladder issue," a spokesman said.
