Series of major landslides hit South Peru, rescue operations currently on their way A series of major landslides have hit the South of Peru in recent days. At least 15 people have been reported dead. Hundreds of homes have been washed away entirely in the region of Arequipa. The natural disaster is coming on the heels of months of anti-government protests following the ouster of former president Pedro Castillo. FRANCE 24's Bryan Quinn reports.
