Pro-Palestinian demonstrators, pro-Israel counter-protesters rally in Manhattan Some 1,000 demonstrators gathered in Manhattan in solidarity with Palestinians as pro-Israel marchers counterprotested following a bloody escalation in the Middle East conflict. "I'm not against Israel. I'm not against the Jewish people. I'm against the violation of human rights," said Maria Gil, a pro-Palestinian demonstrator.
