Paul Watson requests French nationality, French people support him in the street Paul Watson was arrested in Greenland in July, on a warrant issued by the Japanese government in 2012. The activist is currently fighting extradition to Japan where he could face up to 15 years in prison for an incident in which a whaling ship was damaged and one person was injured.
