'It doesn't take a lot to divide Chile politically' The previous constitution, which was defeated by 62% to 38% last year, was very left-wing in its format, said FRANCE 24's International Affairs editor Olivier Farry. "It aims to narrow inequalities, to gain access to healthcare, higher education and water, and also to enshrine indigenous rights in law." He went on to explain that voters felt that it was a little too radical, and that "it doesn't take a lot to divide Chile politically".
