Concern grows over role of AI in US presidential election In the aftermath of Super Tuesday, the most important date in the Republican and Democratic primary calendar, we take a closer look at the influence of artificial intelligence on US elections. Former FBI director Christopher Wray recently issued severe warnings regarding foreign – and domestic – threats to the integrity of American elections. He believes the US is less well equipped to counter interference and disinformation than back in 2020. The rapid development of generative AI, deep fakes, chatbots and robocalls is to blame.
