Burning Man festival: Revelers begin exodus from campsite after roads reopened In the US, thousands of people left stranded the Nevada Desert, having been told the weather had cleared up enough for them to leave the Burning Man Festival. The event was inundated with heavy rain, turning the dry sand into a quagmire of mud, making it impossible for cars to drive in or out.
