Asia most disaster-hit region by climate change in 2023 A new UN report on climate change singles out Asia as a region of particular concern. The report says that global temperatures hit record highs last year and that warming was happening at an especially rapid pace in Asia. Many Asian countries experienced their hottest year on record in 2023, along with extreme weather events including floods, heatwaves and fires.
